About Granma Aki
Ms. Novella Payne is an award winning Antiguan entrepreneur, agro processor, and community leader whose work has advanced agriculture, entrepreneurship, and social development for more than three decades. As the founder of Grandma Aki’s Products, she has built a successful business that transforms locally grown produce into value added products while preserving Antigua and Barbuda’s rich culinary heritage and supporting local farmers.
Beyond her entrepreneurial achievements, Ms. Payne has dedicated herself to serving vulnerable communities through the Fiennes Institute feeding programme and her longstanding partnership with the Seventh day Adventist Church, providing food, shelter, and care to hundreds of individuals.
Her outstanding contributions have earned national and regional recognition, including the Grand Cross of the Most Precious Order of the Princely Heritage (GCH) and recognition by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) as one of the Leaders of Rurality of the Americas for her leadership in rural development, sustainable agriculture, and the preservation of Antigua and Barbuda’s culinary traditions.
